What is the new requirement announced by the Immigration Department of Malaysia (JIM)?
Starting 1 February 2025, all new ePLKS applications must be submitted exclusively through the FWCMS platform.

Do employers need to purchase insurance through FWCMS as well?
Yes. Employers are required to purchase the mandatory insurance directly through the FWCMS platform, which is fully integrated with the Malaysia Insurance Gateway to ensure a faster and more streamlined process.

The integration is designed to improve efficiency, reduce processing time, and ensure a more organised system for both ePLKS applications and insurance purchases.
